To create a Salary Cap contest log into the web platform and select "Salary Cap" at the top of the screen and then "Lobby" in the sub-navigation. Then click the "Create a Contest" button. Follow the wizard prompts to define the specifics such as public or private and for which game slate is preferred.
You will generally find the following areas that can be customized but they may differ slightly depending on the game format.
- Choose a sport
- Select a roster format (9-player, 5-player)
- Pick the slate
- Define the game type (e.g. 1-on-1, etc.)
- List the contest as Public or Private (Private = invite only)
- Indicate the entry fee amount
- Review and confirm the details
Public contests that are created will not appear in the Lobby until the creator has submitted at least one entry.
Contests can only be created when accessing the platform via desktop browser environments. We hope to have this ability included in the mobile app soon. |
All user-generated contests follow the following naming convention:
<Entry Amount> <Sport> <Contest Size/Type> vs <Username of Creator>
Once you have created your contest, invite your friends or share to various social media channels by using the Invite Friends option. See our section on Invites and Sharing for more details.
If creating multiple contests simultaneously, you can only choose one lineup which would be entered into all contests that were generated. You can choose to go in and swap players if you wish afterward.
Once you have created a contest and your lineup has been submitted you have committed to the contest. User-created contests are Non-GPPs (Non-Guaranteed Prize Pools), meaning if the contest does not fill, it will be canceled and entry fees refunded.
