To enter contests and use OwnersBox, we need to verify you're in a place where it's legal. If the platform prompts you to update your mobile/browser location settings, please follow the corresponding directions below:
Note: After updating these settings, or if they were already correctly enabled and you're on a web browser, please do a hard refresh on the OwnersBox platform. To do a hard refresh use the following keyboard shortcut: Ctrl (or Cmd) + Shift + R. |
iOS
- Open your ‘Settings’ app
- Scroll down to the OwnersBox app
- Tap to open Setting for this app
- Tap on location
- Select ‘While Using the App’
- Your location will now be shared with OwnersBox while using our App on iOS
Note: If you are using a wifi-only iPad device, you will not be able to share your location. If you experience any issues while using the app due to location restrictions please go to ownersbox.com in a browser such as Safari or Chrome. |
Android
- Navigate to the settings app
- Navigate to the "Apps" option and tap it
- Find "OwnersBox" in the all apps list
- Locate the OwnersBox App in your app list and tap it
- Select the "Permissions" option, then select "Location"
- Select either "Allow all the time" or "Allow Only While in Use or Ask Every Time"
- Toggle "Use Precise Location"
- Your location will now be shared with OwnersBox while using our app on Android
Google Chrome
- Open Chrome.
- In the top right, click the Chrome menu.
- Click Settings
- Select Privacy and Security from the left side panel
- Click on Site Settings
- In the dialog that appears, scroll down to the “Location” section that appears under Permissions and click on this option.
- Locate the OwnersBox URL and click on it.
- Using the dropdown for ‘Location’, select ‘Allow’
- Your location will now be shared with OwnersBox.
Microsoft edge
- Open Microsoft Edge In the top right, click the menu button(three horizontal dots).
- Select Settings
- Select "Cookies and Site Permissions" from the left side Panel
- If you cannot see "https://app.ownersbox.com/" in the Recent Activity list, click "All Sites" under "Site Permissions" and select "ownersbox.com"
- Click the arrow to the right of the option
- Click the Location dropdown from the top of the list and select "Allow"
- Go to OwnersBox.com and select ‘Allow’ when the site asks to know your location.
Safari (Mac)
- Click the System Preferences option under the Apple menu or in the Dock.
- Select Security & Privacy
- Click the Privacy tab and select Location Services from the left pane.
- Click the lock icon (bottom left corner) to make the settings changeable, and enter your admin password if you receive a prompt.
- Enable location services by placing a check in front of Enable Location Services.
- Place a check in the box in front of Safari to enable location services for the browser.
Explorer
- Select the Gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of the browser window.
- When the drop-down menu appears, select Internet Options
- Click on the ‘Privacy” tab
- In the ‘Locations’ section, click on ‘Clear Sites’
- Click Apply
- Go to OwnersBox.com and select ‘Allow’ when the site asks to know your location.
Firefox/Mozilla
- Open the Firefox menu from the top right corner
- Click on ‘options’
- Type ‘Location’ in the options search bar
- Click on ‘Settings…’ beside the Location option under Permissions
- Search for ownersbox.com in the search bar, or locate ownersbox.com in the list of websites.
- Using the dropdown option, select ‘Allow’
- Click ‘Save Changes’
- Your location will now be shared with OwnersBox.
